Our client is a growing aviation organisation operating across the Midlands and Wales. With a strong focus on safety, integrity, and operational excellence, they deliver services in engineering, operations, and commercial development. As part of their expansion, they are seeking a Flight Instructor to support their general aviation activities.
Position
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering both flight and ground school instruction to students at various stages of training, using C152, C172, and PA-28 aircraft.
This is a key role within a safety-focused training environment, working closely with the Chief Flying Instructor and wider team. The instructor will help shape the next generation of pilots, ensuring high standards of instruction, regulatory compliance, and a strong safety culture across all training activities.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver flight training on C152, C172, and PA-28 aircraft in line with the Flying Order Book, covering:
- UK PPL(A)
- IMC/Instrument Rating (IR)(R)
- Night Rating
- Guide students through required manoeuvres and competencies to achieve relevant ratings.
- Provide ground school instruction to support theoretical knowledge and exam preparation.
- Monitor and record student progress, ensuring accurate completion of training records.
- Operate aircraft safely and in compliance with aviation legislation and internal procedures.
- Promote a strong safety culture across all training activities.
Requirements
- Hold a valid FI(A) or CRI(A) rating
- Hold a valid CPL(A) (or PPL(A) with at least 200 hours total time, including 150 hours as PIC)
- Hold a valid SEP (Land) rating
- Hold a valid medical certificate of the appropriate class
- Strong leadership and instructional skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a team under the guidance of the Chief Flying Instructor (CFI)
- Excellent knowledge of aviation regulations and procedures
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in flight planning and navigation techniques
