At Lufthansa Cargo, we ensure that goods and cargo reach their destination safely, efficiently and on time. Within Transport Management & Flight Operations, you will help shape and optimize the processes surrounding the operation of our cargo aircraft, making a direct contribution to safe and efficient flight operations. 

Tasks

In this position, you will play a key role at the intersection of aviation engineering, performance management and flight operations. 

What you can expect: 

• Conduct complex route analyses, including the assessment of decompression and OEI scenarios as well as aircraft performance
• Analyze and evaluate aircraft performance data
• Monitor published aircraft performance information and work closely with our internal Efficiency Team in the area of Airplane Performance Monitoring (APM)
• Develop and optimize aircraft performance applications
• Actively contribute to the further development and optimization of processes and applications within Flight Operations
• Prepare Operational Risk Evaluations (OREs) and contribute to the safe and reliable execution of our operational processes
• Work closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

What you bring:

• A completed university degree, ideally in aerospace engineering, or a comparable qualification combined with relevant professional experience
• Several years of relevant professional experience in aviation engineering, Aircraft Performance or a comparable technical environment
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• A strong understanding of economic and operational interrelationships
• Initiative and the ability to drive topics forward independently and take ownership
• Confident communication style as well as strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• Flexibility and willingness to familiarize yourself with new technical and specialist topics
• Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
