We are looking for a Crew Control Officer, based at our headquarters in Malta. The ideal candidate has previous experience in a crew control role, either in private or commercial aviation, in addition to the personal attributes to work within a complex and challenging aviation environment, a positive can-do attitude, the ability to focus on details, think critically, and has the ability to learn and work in a team environment or on their own.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensure that crews’ operational requirements are met legally and cost-effectively
- Must be familiar and keep up to date with aviation rules, regulations, and restrictions
- Ensure that crew activities are scheduled in a timely, efficient and effective manner and according to ElitAvia Operations Manuals, flight time limitation legality, aviation rules and regulations and company standard operating procedures
- Continuous tracking, monitoring and modification of the flight and cabin crew rosters during day-to-day operations, short-term and long-term crew planning
- Follow crews legal flight duty and rest periods in accordance with ElitAvia OM-A Chapter 7
- Monitoring crews on time check in for flights and other duties
- Take corrective action immediately, if crew FDP and/or rest period are non-compliant
- Ensure all information is inserted into the scheduling and document filing software (Leon, Centrik, other as required) and is accurate and up to date
- Filling the operations checklist
- Liaising with Travel department to organise crew movements and / or making travel arrangements as required
- Source available freelance crew if required, check their documentation is up to date and to the standard according to ElitAvia procedures and Operations Manual
- Coordinate information with Client Services department
- Insert cabin and flight crew roster into the scheduling software (Leon)
- Ensure that General Declaration/Crew List is immediately updated as soon as flight request received from client
- Ensure complete and precise information flow between shifts and other departments
- Monitor roster disruptions on monthly basis to minimize further roster disruptions
- Prepare documents for visa application, as required
- Arrange crew travel and accommodation as per requirements and agreements and in cooperation with Travel department
- Assisting with crew training administration
- Organisation of trainings for the crew
- Collecting and recordkeeping of Flight Crew training documents
- Following on expiry dates of licences, medical certificates, and trainings
- Following the validity of FSTD certificates and TRTO’s
- Creating access to on-line trainings
- Following expiry dates of airport qualifications
- Collecting and recordkeeping of staff training documents
- Organisation of staff trainings as required
- Maintain correct relations with co-workers
- Respect and carry out regulations and measurements of work safety, health safety and fire safety.
- Communication with training suppliers
- Supporting department managers
Requirements:
- Experience in business aviation
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel)
- English language proficiency is a must.
