1 - Simulator Assessment

Simulator Assessment

Simulator Scenario 1: (Click on the red text inside each sim scenario to open approach plates)

Attended the interview on February 2013 as a Captain. The B737 simulator was booked, so the sim assessment was in the Emb190. The Line Captain prepares you very well and understands that you may never have flown the airplane before. The briefing is about 50-60 minutes. You will also have good First Officer to help you with whatever you ask for, including all the automation. They are looking for emergency management, CRM, decision making etc. Very little hand flying-takeoff and landing only. Autopilot was used most of the time (immediate after takeoff). Takeoff, Bogotá Columbia 13R for Panama City. Low ceilings. Loose engine during takeoff roll just after 100 kts. Aborted takeoff. Repositioned. Normal Takeoff- follow departure procedure. Through about FL 180, loose engine. Bogota gone below minimums. I chose to divert to Rionegro. ILS to single engine missed approach. Start flying the single engine missed. Then the Line Captain stopped the simulator repositioned for single engine, hand flown ILS to a full stop RWY 13R Bogota Columbia.

Math Test

This basic test in applied mathematics screens your understanding of the basics: multiplication, division, subtraction as well as speed, distance and time calculations. By taking this test, you can assess your mathematical skills according to the very same standards used in the industry and be thoroughly prepared when applying for a job in aviation.

The math test features a practice section with over 100 questions, each with a detailed explanation of the answer. The test section itself consists of 24 random, time-limited questions with answers.

Short Term Memory

Both short-term memory and tolerance for stress will be assessed in this simulation. You will constantly be confronted with new information about altitude, heading, airspeed and radio frequencies and asked to memorize and reproduce this information.

Short Term Memory features 3 different levels (easy, medium and hard). Each level has time-limited rounds in which you have to memorize the information and answer each question correctly. At the end of the test, a score will be calculated.

Spatial Awareness

This is a test to assess your spatial awareness and ability to read instruments. In other words, you need to understand the aircraft's attitude and position in physical space. You will be asked to pick the correct aircraft on the basis of the readings on the cockpit instruments.

The Spatial Awareness test features a practice section with 20 questions, each with a detailed explanation of the answer. The test section features 3 different levels (easy, medium and hard). Each level will have a 10 random, time-limited questions and a exact score will be calculated afterwards.

Multitasking

This test measures your multitasking skills. You will constantly be receiving information (digits) and you will be asked to enter them in the primary flight display by using the arrows and numbers on your keyboard. At the same time, alert signs will be displayed that need to be eliminated.

The Multitasking test features 3 different levels (easy, medium and hard). Each level is time limited. At the end of the test, a score will be calculated based on how accurately you entered the numbers in the primary flight display and eliminated the alert signs.

Advanced Flight Control

This test measures your psycho-motor and multi tasking skills. Test takers must adjust airspeed, heading, altitude and slip ball coordinator simultaneously to maintain the given target values.

The Advanced Flight Control has a 5 minute time limit. A score, based on your performance will be given in percentages. For optimum results, we recommend the use of a joystick and rudder pedals for this test.

Inductive reasoning

This test involves the ability to understand and analyze visual information and solve problems using visual reasoning. You will be asked to identify relationships, similarities and differences between shapes and patterns, to recognize visual sequences and to remember relationships between objects.

Inductive Reasoning (IQ) Test features a practice section with 20 questions, each with a detailed visual explanation of the answer. The test section features 3 different levels (easy, medium and hard). Each level will have a 20 random, time-limited questions. At the end of the test, a score will be calculated to show each individual how many correct and wrong answers they got

ATPL Questions

ATPL Questions

This part contains of 250 ATPL Questions very similar to FAA ATP. The ATP questions inside our question bank will cover topics such as Aerodynamic, Instrument Flying Rules (ICAO), ATC Procedure, Performance, Weather and Flight Physiology. Answers will be provided for each questions.

Please Note: During your assessment you will only get 50 questions.
